Hermann Park: A Brief History by Barrie Scardino Note: On page 11 the statement is made that Kessler worked with Frederick Law Olmstead. This is not true and may have been a story told by Mr. Kessler's son. Kessler did make contact with Mr. Olmstead, who helped him secure a job as Superintendent of Parks with the Kansas City, Fort Scott, and Gulf Railroad.
